The Media Support Fund is pleased to announce the results of the evaluation of the 2024 supplementary call for projects. In its decision of 11 September 2024, the Council of the Foundation awarded funding to 9 projects under the Cultural Projects in Media Programme, 29 projects under the News, Investigative and Educational Journalism Programme and 13 Investigative Journalism Fellowships (a total of 83 projects and 15 Fellowship applications). The projects were evaluated by expert panels. The Council took decisions on the award of partial support on the basis of the reasoned conclusions submitted by the expert panels, indicating the list of projects proposed for funding and the amount of funds to be allocated, and the list of projects proposed for exclusion from funding. Some projects that were positively evaluated by the peer review were reduced or excluded from funding, taking into account the funds foreseen in the specific programme, the relevance of the project in the overall context, the reasonableness of the estimate, the overall assessment of the expert groups following the discussions during the expert group meetings (the individual assessment of the experts as set out in the scoring tables may be different from the consensus assessment of the expert groups, which was used by the Council as a basis for the assessment). Projects that did not meet the requirements set out in the Rules for the submission of projects funded by the Fund were not submitted for peer review. The peer review scores (the average of the peer review scores) and the abbreviated project descriptions of the projects that have received funding, as entered by the applicants in their applications, are published on the website of the Fund.
We invite applicants who have received funding to hurry up and sign contracts with the Media Support Fund by 10 October at the latest. The contract form is available here:
We thank all the applicants and wish them success in their projects and look forward to participating in the next Media Support Fund competitions.
