Media Support Fund is launching a new call for applications for the Cultural Projects in Media and Cultural Periodicals; News, Investigative and Educational Journalism and Investigative Journalism Fellowship programmes, which have unspent funds left from the allocation of funding for projects. The planned distribution of funds to projects under this call for proposals is EUR 491,000.
As part of its mission to support the production, dissemination and activities of producers and/or disseminators of public information that are relevant to society and the state, of high quality, ethical and politically neutral media content, the Fund is launching a call for proposals on 1 July 2024 for financial support for the following programmes:
- Cultural projects in the media.
- News, investigative and educational journalism projects.
- Investigative Journalism Fellowships.
The call will run from 1 July 2024 to 29 July 2024 at 24.00 (inclusive) and will not be evaluated after the closing date set in the call.
The Council of the Media Support Fund decided on 27 June 2024 to launch a call for proposals for the programmes that remained unallocated after the peer review.
The following programmes will be financed: the Cultural Projects in the Media Programme, around EUR 49,000; the News, Investigative and Educational Journalism Projects Programme, around EUR 390,000; and the Investigative Journalism Fellowships Programme, around EUR 52,000.
The Council and the Fund’s administration encourage applicants to participate actively in this call. The call is open to public information producers and/or disseminators (legal entities) and to journalists wishing to apply for an investigative journalism scholarship. Applicants who have already received financial support from the Fund are also eligible for this competition.
The Council of the Fund, having evaluated the results of the last call for proposals, encourages you to apply responsibly, to take into account the mission and objectives of the Fund, to create original, high-quality media content, to ensure dissemination, and to provide detailed project estimates based on actual costs.
